5 Tips To A Clean Environment For Your Learners

This season is the season for the holidays, but it is also the season for allergies and sickness!

As educators, it is always our responsibility to make sure that our classroom is a clean environment for our learners to be in. Today, we want to give you 5 tips that will help you keep your classroom clean.

1. Stock up on cleaning supplies
This is super important! Stock up on supplies like disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, and tissues.

2. Clean off shared objects
Your students share about 99% of the items in your classroom. This means that you must keep all of these objects clean. Shared objects like writing utensils, desks, chairs, tablets, door handles, all of these items need consistent cleaning.

3. Discuss the importance of having healthy habits
Share healthy habits like good sleep patterns, healthy eating, as well as washing hands. This is crucial for overall classroom health as this will push students to always be healthy.

4. Encourage parents to allow their kids to stay home when sick
Unfortunately, some parents do send their children to school even while they are sick. Many times they do this because they do not want their child to be behind in school. As the child’s teacher, share with parents that their child will heal much better at home and you will give them all learning materials and assistance, so that they will not fall behind as they heal.

5. Teach students the importance of washing hands:
Many times, kids forget to wash their hands, as they do not understand the importance of it. Share with your learners about all of the wonderful benefits they get when they wash their hands.
